The b&b is doing really well. Thanks to a twinning with the nearby Trattoria del Cervo, customers can also enjoy a quality meal at a special price. “What is missing today is a gym, which would allow us to be independent in winter and to host all those activities mixing play and gymnastics, preparatory to horse riding, indoors” says Martina. At the end of 2022, the farmhouse located a hundred metres from the b&b, also publicly owned, will become vacant. It’s there that Martina and her mother are planning to expand their activity. “We could expand the tourist offer by offering food, cocktails with appetizers, and tastings”. In the meantime, Martina keeps dreaming, but with a pragmatic twist, turning her vision into reality: “Passion leads me to do many different things, and sometimes things seem to happen almost by magic. Many people tell me that the enthusiasm they see in my eyes is contagious”. And off she goes, listing an equestrian vaulting course in Rimini, writing a children’s play with a friend from Bologna who is a professional actress, and organising historical processions in town involving horses, mules, and little girls and teenagers as actresses.

It is precisely the teenagers who took part in the association’s activities in their childhood who can best explain the added value generated by Liberi e Selvaggi: 17-year-old Agnese is now helping Martina with the children’s workshops: “Thanks to Cavalgiocare – she says – I have learnt not to be afraid of expressing myself in all possible forms; it has become a way of life, which stems from acknowledging the importance of helping others. Because it’s when you give to others and respect every person’s own time and manner that you receive the most. This is what I learnt from watching the horses”.
